Connecting with your Higher Self

Some clients may experience frustration when their Higher Self doesn’t make an appearance in their session. The truth is that your Higher Self is always present. It communicates to you via your intuition or ‘gut’ feelings. That is why I always reiterate to clients contemplating a session that the technique is completely heart based and it’s all about intention over expectation. So before you embark on a quantum healing session, here are some ways you can try on a regular basis that will assist you with connecting with your Higher Self.

  1. Become Aware of Your Inner Voice – As I mentioned, your Higher Self communicates with you via your intuition or gut feelings. So, listen to the inner voice by tuning into your heart and make your decisions based on that.

  2. Switch to a Healthy Diet - Your Higher Self is at the highest vibration. One way to connect to it is by honouring your physical body. Eat foods that are of a high vibration (fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts) so that your body aligns with your Higher Self.

  3. Practise Non-Judgemental Awareness - Each time a thought or emotion arises, give it some time. Don’t be hasty in passing judgement, think of the lessons they are trying to convey to you. Your Higher Self also conveys messages to you in unsettling or stuck emotions.

  4. Meditate - Meditation is the easiest and the first step towards meeting the Higher Self. Some people at first find meditation a challenge because they say they can’t ‘switch off’. The point is not to switch off but to allow yourself the opportunity to explore your internal landscape.

  5. Time in Nature - Walk through a local garden if you have one. Observe nature in all its forms; trees, flowers and plants. Ground yourself by standing or walking barefoot on the grass. If you have a beach nearby, just sitting and watching the waves and smelling the sea air can help you connect with your Higher Self.

  6. Release the Self-Pity – Wallowing in a victim mindset means your emotions become stuck which can result in frustration, depression or anger. You may feel tempted to overindulge in destructive activities as a way of dealing with these emotions. Your Higher Self wants you to be free of any self-pity because you are far above that. Having a big ole cry is a sure fire way to free yourself from any stuck emotions.

Your Higher Self is YOU! It is not an external entity. It is your best friend and wants only for you to have a fulfilling and joyful life.
